Is LSCC a member
owned equity club?
No. Lake Sunapee Country Club is a privately
owned corporation. LSCC operates the
club for the benefit of its members
by providing the highest quality services
in the most cost effective manner.
Can members
be assessed for operating deficits?
No. Members are not subject to special
assessments for operating deficits.
What types
of memberships are available at the
Club?
Membership falls into four categories:
Golf, Off Season, Recreational and Social.
Golf Members may join at the Family,
Single, Intermediate or Junior levels.
What are the
privileges of a Golf Member?
Golf Members may use all of the golf,
tennis, swimming, and clubhouse
facilities. Members also have charge
privileges via a house account for use
in the dining room and golf shop. All
greens fees and court fees are included. Fees for golf
carts, lockers, bag storage and handicaps
are additional.
What are the
privileges of an Off-Season Member?
Off Season Members may use all of the
recreational and clubhouse facilities,
have charge privileges in the golf shop
and dining room and are welcome to participate
in social events. Golf privileges are
available from course opening to June
1st then from September 15th course
closing. Greens fees and driving range
use are included as part of the membership.
As with all memberships there is an
additional fee for golf cart rentals,
locker use, bag storage and handicaps.
What are the
privileges of a Recreational Member?
Recreational Members may use all of
the recreational and clubhouse facilities,
have charge privileges in the golf shop
and dining room and are welcome to participate
in social events. Golf privileges are
included on a limited basis from course
opening to June 1st then from September
15th course closing. Greens fees apply.
Driving range use is available for an
additional fee as are golf cart rentals,
locker use, bag storage and handicaps.
What are the
privileges of a Social Member?
Social Members are invited to participate
in all social events and have charge
privileges the dining room.
Is the course
available for use by daily fee users?
The club may from time to time permit
outside groups access to the course.
Presently, group play is generally scheduled
for Thursdays in our shoulder seasons.
Is there a
dining room minimum?
Yes. An annual Food Purchase Minimum
has been established which includes
all dining room and snack bar food charged
to Member accounts. Liquor charges,
taxes and gratuities are not credited
to the food purchase minimum. Food minimums
are established on an annual basis and
are dependent on Membership type.
Will my guests
be able to use the facilities?
Guests of Members are most welcome at
Lake Sunapee Country Club. Non-member
guests may play the course a total of
two times per month. Guest fees for
golf, pool and tennis are established
on an annual basis.
Is my Membership
renewable? Transferable?
Members who have consecutively maintained
their member-in-good-standing status
are automatically extended annual Membership
pending payment of the current year's
fees. Membership is not transferable.
Who is responsible
for operation of the club?
Lake Sunapee Country Club Incorporated
owns and operates the club. There is
no Board of Governors or other managerial
group elected by the Membership. Daily
operation of the club falls under the
jurisdiction of several department managers
who report directly to the club's owner.
The department managers include our
Director of Golf, Grounds Manager and
Food and Beverage Manager. Members are
encouraged to communicate their questions,
concerns and suggestions to the appropriate
department manager.
